Open Table Dinners

What are Open Table Dinners?

Gather with us on Maundy Thursday (April 9) to connect in community as we share a meal and communion! Dinner groups consist of about 7–9 people, including a host who serves to help make connections. Open Table is not a Bible study or small group, so no preparation is required. Join us, meet people, make friends – you just might start a small group, take a class, or serve with them!

Dinners will be hosted at either a host’s home (the host may ask you to bring a side dish or dessert) or at a local restaurant (everyone will pay for their own dinner).

We'll share more details and post a list of available groups soon!

Host an Open Table Dinner

Open Table hosts play a critical role in helping people connect with others and provide opportunities for community to begin at Resurrection. Dinner hosts help create welcoming spaces where people can connect with others for fellowship and fun. Dinners will conclude with the sharing of Communion. We are looking for hosts who are:

  • Regular Resurrection attenders
  • Currently serving (or have served in the last year) at Resurrection
  • Committed to offering radical hospitality to your dinner group
  • Able to coordinate with staff about time, date, location and type of group you're hosting
  • Committed to a light-touch follow-up with your guests
